Bio-ethics and Research Ethics

A Workshop on “Bio-ethics and Research Ethics” was held at Digital Class Room, Narayana Dental College & Hospital, Nellore on 12th & 13th April, 2017. This Program was organized by Narayana Dental College & Narayana Nursing Institutions in collaboration with the Bio-ethics center, Yenepoya University, Mangalore and was coordinated by Dr. N. Kannan. The objective of this workshop was to strengthen the Ethics regulatory norms, important ethical issues in biomedical research and the role of ethics committee formation and function.
Staff and postgraduate students of various specialties from both the institutions have actively participated in the workshop. The speakers included Dr. Veena Vasvani, Director, Dr. Ravi Vasvani, and Dr. Uma Kulkarni, Members of Centre for Ethics, Yenepoya University. The dignitaries participated from Narayana Dental College included Dr. B. Ajay Reginald, Principal, Dr. N. Sivakumar, Dean (Academics) and Dr. Vijay Kumar Chava, Member Secretary IEC, and Dr. Indira. S, Principal of Narayana Nursing College, Nellore and staff members of the respective colleges.
